It's Go Time!
District Champions!!!
On to state!
Conference Tournament Champions!
The girls defeated Syracuse in the finals of the conference tournament in strait sets. The girls played very well and with terrific composure.
The schedule for this weekend is play @ 10 (West Point-Beemer); if we win we will play at 12 (probably against Norfolk Catholic); then play at 2 (versus one of the teams from the upper bracket...Wisner-Pilger/Allen/Clarkson??).
Our playing schedule is pretty tight and there won't be a lot of time to eat and digest food between games. To that end, I'd suggest keeping it simple. I always tell the girls to eat a small snack right after the game so it has time to settle. (granola bar; 1/2 of a sandwich; fruit/veggies) This allows them to be fully prepared when the next game rolls around.
I'm not telling you what to feed your children. You can feed them whatever you want but I'm suggesting sandwich fixings; healthy chips; fruit and veggies. Deserts (brownies/cookies) would be OK for after our final game. If we eat them before one of the matches, they will be coming off the sugar and will have less energy and focus. I don't think we can afford that against these teams. Again, these are just suggestions that I think will help us play at a higher level.
On a side note, I REALLY want to thank everybody that helped out at the Bennington Invite. It was truly a flawless event because of all of your efforts! Thank You!

Texting and emails are the way that a majority of athletes communicate today. I send a lot of text messages and emails to the players. My goal is to keep everybody informed on changes in scheduling, deadlines, and upcoming events. I will also try to do this on the website but I'm not always as quick to get that updated. If you do not want the athlete to receive messages from me, please let me know and I will remove you from the 'text/email' list. Thanks-Scott
